Over the long run, share prices will reflect fundamentals. A faulty widget producer will eventually be worthless but may have a value through selling their spin, and a company like Amazon will be worth a lot.
My comment about the market value six years ago shows how far the pendulum has swung toward negativity but is on its way back. It was trading over a dollar in the height of the boom pre GFC. The company has only progressed throughout all these years.
