For those interested in something constructive -
The PPA submission for the next 120MW power plant upgrade (195MW to 315MW)was made to PLN on the 16th Feb and an answer is expected back within two weeks of that date.
Given the urgency to solve the domestic power shortage one would expect an answer sooner rather than later.
It is understood that the submission included changes to the power tariff and contract term for the next 120MW. If these changes come through as expected the valuation of future power plant earnings may be somewhat enhanced.
One must be aware that this PPA can be approved totally independently of the POD which is for the LNG plant feedstock gas.
Who knows, we may hear news prior to the half yearly later this week, but I guess to some that would be wishful thinking. In any event I believe we are on the verge of a series of exciting events.
