ENI have 50% and are the operator hence they have control. Then we have Kris and a three way partnership, but the underlying is ENI with 50% and they call the shots to a point.
NEN will report as per the ASX guidlines and it does not matter what ENI say NEN will remain complinant with the reporting guidelines.
In saying all this ENI have the majority share holding as operator of the spud and the three parties have to agree on reporting progress otherwise it would be a dogs dinner.
For those that are not comfortable with this then you need to reasses whether you want to hold Nen shares.
As far as announcements go I do not expect to hear anything until around the week of Jan 6, 2014 and I would think a lot of large holders would be of the same ilk on this. I have said it many times, patience is needed in this play.
