@beaglebasher, I am absolutely certain the market would have been higher if the ASX released this major milestone as a price sensitive announcement. Funds monitor these type of announcements on stocks they are holding and react to them. They don't have time to be searching through emails from companies they own.
Having said that, it really doesn't matter to the longer term success of the company. These are all major stepping stones to getting revenues from customers.
