I use expedia and trip advisor everywhere I go, make sure you read the reviews of any hotel before booking,it will save you a lot of problems and are always cheaper than going through an agent
some reviews may mention that its miles from town, is undergoing renovation or even flea ridden none of which the agents or the hotels themselves will ever mention
