Just as a general note.. Prana aren't trying to cure parkinsons.. They have a few drugs in pipeline, and the current one about to go to clinic, pbt434, is aiming to treat / slow some of the cognitive symptoms of the parkinsins disease but the company has indicated it will probably chase an orphan disease first to help with the approvals process..

They had taken the same strategy with pbt2, where they were hoping to get it through p3 trials in Huntington disease as orphan drug before proceeding with pbt2 in AD. Pbt2 is currently on partial clinical hold due to need for more animal testing so pbt434 is currently the lead candidate in the pipeline. ( prana have indicated that don't want to do the requested animal testing for pbt2 as they believe it will not help, but the drug itself has had encouraging results in human trials that need to be proved up with larger trial )

A great source of info on where the company is at is both the annual report and the recording of last year's AGM that can be found on their website.. I also transcribed some of it here in a recent thread "path of pbt2" that should only be a page or 2 back

This is a spec stock with - I believe - fantastic potential.. DYOR, acknowledge the risk in such an investment, and don't be swayed by us on this board..
