You have high-lighted just one of the potential problems in conducting trials in new drugs. Just an additional problem, very relevant to CPn10 is the problem of pregnancy. Since it is impossible to insure a trial if a subject is pregnant, this condition has to be excluded as far as possible. Since mild Lupus is largely a disease of women of child bearing age it is a major problem for recruiting for Lupus trials.
