This is a very interesting presentation and I think thier position is somewhat understated

They are confident of demonstrating 3 things in this IIa trial
1.toxicity is OK
2.neuro markers show positive results
3.cognitive function improved

The presenter stated that if 1 and 2 are shown they are in a strong position to partner and move on

However what he didnt say was what would happen if evidence of 3 was shown and remember they have confidence in this as well even in this IIa trial
What will happen if their is a suggestion that cognitive (read mental function) is improved? My opinion is that all hell will break lose-for this will be evidence that we have a potential therapy (not cure) for alzheimers disease. Although on the face of it further phase IIb and III would need to be done-there are all sorts of ways of accelerating a truly ground breaking therapy
