Great info' duggie but my resident phd tells me that nutrients / antioxidants can also have their dangers such as the origional belief that beta carotene was helpfull in the avoidance of lung disease for those predisposed . The type of detailed formal trials you continually refer to showed the opposite to be correct . Self interested parties debate this but its all there in the academic literature . This just underlines the importance of properly conducted scientific trials & the need to tread warily when making related commercial decisions .
It also explains the need for patience when investing in biotech !
