I think what mak is saying if that husbandry is the key to keeping away these problems, and most are not doing that, then why don't they just simply do it. Correct me if im wrong mak.

Yes basically the statement was made:

You see diligent, smart, farmers can already produce low cell count milk with very low antibiotic use. Why can't the majority? The answer is that they don't know a lot of things and take short cuts and keep getting caught out.

It intrigues me that this would be the case. I would have thought that competitive forces would ensure dairy farmers follow best practise. Or are these 'smart' farmers doing so at a higher production cost?

I know nothing about dairy farming, so am taking these comments at face value. The mindset is very important, I think, in deciphering how successful POHs product might end up being in this market.
