    the question is, what is it about this 'merger' that makes the prospects for BSG better than they would be without it?

    I would have preferred to flog my shares for $5 to a takeover and then have the option to decide whether or not to use the proceeds to invest in an undervalued CDE... not be forced into it by management without any kind of premium.
