"While we do not like many of the savings initiatives announced by the government ... we must proceed with the budget bottomline savings as presented in the pre-election economic and fiscal outlook given the budgetary mess left by Labor," Mr Hockey said.
"This applies to all savings other than those specifically identified by the Coalition as unacceptable, such as the changes announced by the government on fringe benefits tax for motor vehicles."
