Hum sells money and therefore borrows money to fund the leases, credit card usage and BNPL. So it has $2.4bil in debt with $2.653bil in receivables and customer loans. If 1mil of the 2.7mil customers are currently actively using the services, we are relying on 1 million people making payments. Sure it’s generally nsecured Barr leasing but the debtors would be less concentrated to say another company relying on 20 customers for the majority of receivables payment. HUMM survived GFC and covid. It is generating returns in profit and business growth. Share price could be improved yes but then I wouldn’t get to buy another 15k shares today to get me one of those Abercrombie round numbers finally. If the market misprices which is my personal belief someone will come and take advantage to buy.
