Hi couchtrader, In answer to your question , There are petroleum systems which are thought to generate hydrocarbons at different levels, ie created at different times. Simpson was technically a duster, however their was evidence to show the HC's had been there at some stage and been washed through to another location. Blamore only tested one prospective oil zone, which was also washed though leaving staining. Due to stuck drill lower zone not reached. 140m of coal was found.
