re: pre-open, placement $5.35 Seller, unfortunately the ASX is not a level playing field and the bigger guys get better information than the smaller players. Don't expect the ASX or ASIC to do anything about it because they have vested interests in keeping the status quo. An example is broker identification on SEATS. Why should only brokers have access to this information? Because it makes it easier for them to trade and it puts the small guy at a disadvantage. Will the ASX do anything about it? No, because the ASX gets their revenue from the brokers.
The ASX and ASIC are more interested in generating news headlines (e.g Rivkin) than actually improving the fairness of the market.
