MATMOR POUR ACHIEVES GREAT RESULTS
Thursday, 15th May 2008: ECT (ASX:ESI) advises that the 28th test pour in the precommercialisation
testing of the Matmor steel process was very successful , running continuously
for 2 hrs and 45 minutes.
ECT Chief Executive Kos Galtos said this promising result demonstrated Matmor’s ability to
continuously process steel.
“This was longer than the time required for pellets, introduced into the full retort after the
commencement of melting, to pass through, reduce and be melted and was the baseline for
measuring the processes’ success,” he said.
ECT plans to conduct further tests to introduce more efficient methodologies but is now confident
that the Matmor process can be stepped up to commercialisation over the next twelve months.
