For Australian ADRs listed on the NYSE, BHP Billiton weakened $3.10 (5.37%) to $54.60, Rio Tinto Plc dropped $21.37 (7.37%) to $268.50, News Corporation shed 78 cents (5.75%) to $12.78, ResMed lost $1.55 (3.27%) to $45.85, Telstra Corporation dipped $1.00 (3.21%) to $15.96, Telecom Corporation of NZ declined 32 cents (3.47%) to $8.91 and Westpac slid $8.62 (9.18%) to $85.28

On the FTSE 100, Rio Tinto slipped 222.00 pence (5.73%) to 3,875.22 pence and BHP Billiton weakened 86.00 pence (6.25%) to 1,350.59 pence.
