My views on todays action :
- The LAMP is essentially approved, now it's just a matter of taking care of a few details. This is the most important outcome from today. In the eyes of investors, very significant de-risking has just occurred.
- There will be a delay of around 3 months so production is expected to commence at the end of 2011. I for one never really expected a September start date and I suspect very few analysts did either. In the scheme of things, 3 months is nothing.
- The anti-Lynas concerns have been heard and accounted for. The protests and headlines should now fade away.
- Chinese quotas will continue to tighten and rare-earth prices will continue to rise.
- The share-price will trend upwards from here on.
