Good question,theoc.I feel we need technology to defeat technology. I would envisage an overall market program which cancels any bot or computer program attempting to manipulate a stock. Much like our computer anti-virus programs e.g Kaspersky, Norton,etc. Or an overall electronic trading code is setup and any activity outside of that code gets cancelled and the perpetrator's account suspended. I'm sure it can be done.
