Your above statement is totally incorrect,  in actual fact TA is perfect for long term and is much easier in longer time frames as decision making becomes far less complicated

TA doesn't worry about all the noise you talk about,  so IF you understand it,  it makes it much easier.

Your understanding of TA is lacking as  it is the investors that didn't sell that got smashed,  anyone using TA correctly would have exited their positions either prior or at the start of the 2008 crash and not hung on to their long positions.

Anyone holding through the crash was not using TA correctly  - plain and simple!
