Your bank manager gives you a small loan (nowhere near 1M) because you are earning a salary and the loan is secured against your assets
LCY is a resource explorer with a net cash flow of around minus 3-4M a year and an asset which will not be realized for another 5+ years. Unfortunately springtree and la jolla are the only facilities that can provide loans to explorers and junior biotechs, and they charge a premium due to the risk associated with their loan.
