A minor point on the gold explorers, RDR is currently trying to sell its gold tenements [was producing at a substantial loss] so they are getting out of gold, also you might like to include SOC on the list of explorers [I suspect there are a stack of others, which like SOC are small cap and not particularly on anyone's radar]
Hard to know which is the most useful viewpoint. I suspect that if a commodity is rising in value that it might show up in the producers SP before it moves to the explorers ... only guessing but my suggestion is to follow the format you are on and track it for effectiveness. Within each sector, can I suggest a colour coding for each of the stock's labels at the base of the charts i.e. the stock which is the outperformer paint its label bright green, the ones running in the middle of the pack yellow and the worst ones red. [It will give a quick clue on where the value might be ... if your software can automate it that is.]
