Although precognitive dreams are a little different.

When dreams of the future present themselves at will via our dream faculty, a presentation of a diverse reality is presented.

I believe when the sixth sense comes into use via a liberation, it naturally attracts a purpose for its consciousness, the eager mind asks why do we have an enlightened consciousness? The answer may be that it might add something that our automated system can't do, problem solving, mental time travel and overriding mental intuitive impressions. Where as conscious thought allows us to notice chaos and the reality of our own death. We can also choose to override reason and take an essential view of meaningless existence, for that matter. Consciousness also creates the problem of meaning and the possibility of meaninglessness. Where as the enlightened sixth sense or the creative faculty is in tune with the universal mind but? Conditions apply for its use although naturally pure in its existence it still requires extensions of a higher understanding.
