Agee that Noble / Posco were using smoke and mirrors with their proposal to ARI. What a joke it was to call themselves Steelmakers Australia.

I reckon there were four ARI assets they wanted being IO, Consumables, Port , Distribution business, before they would even look at trying to introduce the FINEX process to Whyalla.

seems this QCM is deal is $1B for a 10% stake based on press reports.

I still believe they will be back knocking on ARI door again in the future. They just need to get real about their name, intentions, backers, finance etc. I cannot believe consortium would go to all the trouble without having a real fair dinkum attempt. The only other explanation is that ARI was just a ruse to influence Mittal & Canadians re the QCM play, whihc would be the main game.
