Can't disagree with anything you say there. And your observations concur with mine.
I think it was Tuesday last week: after trading closed buyers fell to about 350K, the lowest I can recall for a long time.
On open on the following day, buyers did not reappear and within a few minutes price fell dramatically and then recovered. it was about a 10% swing in price within an hour.
In my opinion somebody knew what was going to happen.
I'm happy to take my chances but I don't like being taken for a mug.
