Mark, in answer to your quesion "who bought over a mill at 1.71" at the open, I don't know, but it was probably the buyer (for a mill) who appeared right on the close yesterday but then withdrew at the last minute. It wasn't me! We need a few more like it though - just the recipe for putting the fox amoung them chickens, known as shorts.
In the absence of additional tactical buying stikes like that by major funds (unlikely given their current dislike of the resource sector), a buy back would do it too.
