As one of the few here that actually used SPT's services, this is how I see it...

    - I have a credit card, for argument's sake let's say I have a $12000 limit
    - I make purchases to the value of $12000 not using SPT, within 8 weeks I will have to cough up $12000 to avoid credit card interest
    - Instead, I use SPT spread over 8 months meaning I only need to come up with $1500 each month even though the full $12000 is locked up. I keep the balance in my offset account saving mortgage interest of ~5% pa (around $225 over the 8 month period).
    - As I pay down the debt, I free up $1500 each month to spend on alternate items, if I use SPT for these items then the whole cycle repeats.

You can always lay blame on people for paying high bank fees but that will always be a problem in society, with or without SPT.

Finally, you have to love how some people attack individuals for making constructive and well meaning suggestions, even for going out of their way to advocate the product to prospective businesses.
