Oh yea sure short term money to be made if you're a trader. Look at today for example. If a company drops 20% over a few days it looks like a great discount buy, and when they make 'price sensitive' announcements (even if they are misleading and they later retract them) they can trigger a jump in SP. I expect you, like me, are not st all surprised today's spin led to the increase today. andayou dont need to believe in a stock long term to make money flipping it, predicting SP reactions like this, but ive been burnt too many times holding dog stocks intended for quick trade, only for bad news, halts, cr and even going into admin, to strike me. I spend a lot more time researching stocks these days before i will even hold short term. LIT wont have a CR for a while now though and have the funds to keep everything chugging on so it would be fine to hold for short periods if you were so inclined. Wouldn't do it on the back of a 10% gain though. Particularly not since it seems to be caused by a dodgy, 'price sensitive', error-ridden announcement. Idk if bots did it, but if people read the correction I can't imagine why they decided to buy more!? No new information and frighteningly misleading claims. I dont expect todays gain will stick but traders might see if they can pump some more out of this announcement and make it run a bit further. I wouldn't bet on it though. Not when investors can so clearly see the amount of spin and falsehoods in the initial announcement. Doesn't require a lot of research this time
