I have to say I've learnt more from my mistakes than my wins. Btw, I've done exactly the same as what you've done.
I now have a value focus and that hasn't been the way to play for a couple of years.
I read heaps. Find and follow a few HC contributors that actually do a lot of analysis. Create a watchlist and watch those shares discussed by the best over time. But make your own decisions as even Platinum and Magellan will tell you that they don't get them all right. Watch your exposure to one stock/industry. There's heaps to this investing. Otherwise its just speculating / gambling.
