Since world war 2 it's been recognised that the most prosperous way to go is to have surgical wars in countries to trash cities, dismantle the rubble, recycle the debris, build new infrastructure and dwellings, creating jobs for the depleted population, with old stockpiles of weapons replaced with newer systems after all the testing has been done.
Humans are eager to participate in this way of life deception on this tiny speck of dust in the cosmos that once wasn't, became, spun around itself and around the sun for a considerable amount of time, only to disappear like it wasn't really here at all.
