Having lived in Vic for a lot of years, and having a memory of seeing the 1939 fires, knowing many CFA people and volunteers I can say IMHO the fires will get far worse as they are fanned by the bureaucrats of Melbourne and the socialist left
The Bureau of Meteorology can stand in line for their share of the blame also and I can tell you now what their recommendation will be "Global Warming"
Vic has had I think four major inquiries into bush fires over the years and basically they have all said the same things and generally none of the recommendations have been put in place, so why bother to have another one from a group which is in the group who were in control
If the other states are anything like Victoria's in administration, union control and bureaucratic f***ups just wait for the next bush-fires and more excuses
I repeat what I have said for most problems "sack at least 50% of the P/S "and solve most of the problems
