Wyoming EORI to Host CO2 Conference in Casper
May 1, 2008 -- The Wyoming Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) at the University of Wyoming will host the second annual Wyoming CO2 Conference May 29-30 in Casper.
The two-day conference at the Parkway Plaza Hotel and Convention Centre will feature presentations on current and developing carbon dioxide (CO2) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects and keynote speeches by industry leaders. The list of confirmed speakers includes Jason Gaines of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; John Stroud of Merit Energy; Chris Mullen of Elk Petroleum; Steve Morzenti of GasTech; Jon Doyle of Medicine Bow Fuel and Power; Dan Goldman of GreatPoint Energy; Matt Lee of Refined Energy Holdings; and Brian Jeffries of the Wyoming Pipeline Authority.
The UW School of Energy Resources, the Wyoming Pipeline Authority, the Petroleum Association of Wyoming, the Wyoming Petroleum Section, El Paso Western Pipelines and Blue Source sponsor the conference.
In addition to its aggressive research agenda, EORI engages in cooperative and contractual agreements with independent producers and offers short courses, workshops and meetings to assist in the transfer of current EOR technologies to Wyoming producers.
