Spun off or not, it will be interesting to see which way they go - I am sure management will choose the most suitable course of direction to deliver the best result for the company and to shareholders.

I remember someone referring to the board as 'accountants not miners' (in a negative fashion) - so kengaroo's suggestions do seem logical - and if they are 'just accountants' then they should be all over the numbers (like any decent accountant) and construct the best outcome possible. And I do like the idea of moving dirt sooner rather than later.
