re: - prediction -rabbitoh GZ, I was almost 60 when they bombed the Towers. I feel now that was the day I lost my innocence. In spite a healthy (unhealthy?) diet of waries as a lad I had no concept of the hatred that could live in a man's heart. A soldier could be an honest Jo.
I guess I always knew that we in the west could not live in splendid isolation from "the masses" for ever, but I am surprised by the suddenness and ferocity of the reckoning.
We now have a simple choice, but only one choice.
Defend our way of living against all-comers with no consideration of "truth and justice" or:
Be fair and reasonable and allow our standard of living to be rapidly eroded so that we are taken down to the Arab's levil. There is no middle road. There is NO WAY they will rise to ours. Besides, the world could not support it's billions at what we consider a basic standard.
I have never spoken this way before publicly, and would welcome an optimist's rebuttal.

    Momma
