It's being pushed down and this is the shorters last hurrah. They are playing the long game because the amounts involved are colossal in the longer term.
Taking a short term minor hit on a short is not going to worry them. The accumulating has been going on for years now.
After I spoke about regulation some of them would have burned the carpet to their inhouse counsel's desk for reassurance about how difficult it is to prove conspiracy and other Corporations law offences. It's not game over though. Not by a long shot.
