    @DekiHoddle

    I disagree with your 3rd paragraph,
    Yes, quarter 1 was impacted by 130mm of rain and yes there was a rail derailment towards the end of January but it lasted approximately 11 days.
    From 1 January to 11 January there was essentially no rain.
    From 12 January to 21 January there was around 133mm of rain
    From 22 January to now there has been only 5mm of rain. While there was no data supplied by BOM for the period 20 March to 29 March I had been looking at the forecast each day and can tell you that there was no rain during this period.
    Therefore there has been essentially no rain for 84 days straight at Curragh.
    Open cut mining.

    US operations (West Virginia)
    Longwall mining so if rain which it does normally rain during the March quarter is not too intense should not affect production unless there is equipment failure, mine collapses or deaths/injuries. Last year US operations were impacted by rock intrusion (rubbish within the coal seam) but Coronado says they have improved the mine plan and they say that "hopefully that is behind them", Fingers crossed

    Therefore I am sticking to my prediction of 5.0mt of coal produced for the March quarter.
