As a mum and dad investor myself, there is no/limited incentive to trade unless I were to believe POG and sp was going to go and then stay down.
Once you take away commissions, cap gains tax etc, other tax related considerations. the margin left over for a mum and dad investor, so small positions, is largely not worth it...though that said, I'm up over 80% on this one at the moment.
