On the topic of Lithium price , theres 2 schools of thought currently
a) Slow recovery - Surplus Chinese stock to dry up very gradually taking years after alot more mines have to shut down...(Baker-Wood that torpedoed LTR funding)
or b) Fast recovery - Govt policy settings
Yesterdays AFR...
Option b) 'govt. policy settings' ie tax incentives etc,, price to rebound just on that - markets trade ahead .
Imo, Govt policy settings would likely be the catalyst for a 'V' shape price recovery in stock prices, followed rapidly by Lithium prices in its various forms
Chinas EV subsidy was terminated 5/1/23 from memory but could be reinstated at anytime.
Same goes for the US /EU creating more incentives to ditch ICE for EV.
