It made ALOT of sense having EY conduct the DD and then assume role of auditor! EY validated the assets! This would be the worlds biggest complete about face if EY said the assets are now significantly
Impaired!
At the time of acquisition the valuation models to support the balance sheet would have been stress tested as well from a bank covenant POV
