However there will about 2 million losers, the residents and taxpayers of Queensland. Dont forget that that QR had around 4.3 billion of debt and that debt was transferred to the government just before privatisation. So the proceeds of 4.6 billion from sale will go to reducing qlds debt that has effectively been increased by 4.3 billion. Thats our "smart state" in action for ya. I guess its the same old story, you cant have winners without losers.
