If the deal goes through , we get the supersized super company we are after with the huge valuation potential that comes from all the synergies and post covid growth in the years to come. If it does not happen , we still got the ANZ wealth arm and we will probably be targeting something else with that 1 billion cash pile ,so regardless we will scale up sooner or later equating to massive synergies and a 8-10 dollar share price once covid is wiped out in 24-36 months. I don't see the deal not going through because even with MLC, we have approximately 10% market share for financial advise which is nowhere near a monopoly and ACCC has long given the tick for it to go ahead back in December . The worst that will happen is we will appeal the decision if APRA has any issues and eventually we will get MLC or we might get it under the condition we sell some parts of it which is still fine but hopefully it does not come to that , IMHO
