According to Mimi Afzan Afza Vice President of Work and Culture, the award in the 'Manufacturing and Chemicals' category is a credit to Lynas Malaysia for creating a healthy and safe working environment.

"This award is a great achievement for all Lynas Malaysians who are constantly striving to create a healthy and safe environment.

"It's safe for the workers and also for the community around us and the environment," Mimi Afzan said in a statement yesterday.

The award was presented by Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran at a ceremony in Damansara recently.

The recognition was awarded on the basis of audit records, and according to Mimi Afzan, Lynas Malaysia staff has successfully cultivated work safety.

"We have always made safety and health a top priority and we are very proud that our efforts are now being recognized."

The MSOSH Awards, initiated in 1982, aim to recognize organizations that have achieved success in safety and health records and have demonstrated improvement through good management systems.
