I don't know if I am a expert but I have mentioned in a earlier post, that from my experience, it would be hard to see them being paid more than $3-$5 per thousand views for a CPM model.
Buyers are wary of this model as no real way to monitor fraudulent views. Buyers often cap their budget for monthly views.
CPC models such as Adsense pay more but individual buyers need a good click fraud monitoring system.Google and their adsense program rely heavily on their click fraud protection as it is so easy to abuse.
Mind you, they reported 8 million revenue last year, which seems extraordinary but as they still lost 13 million, they have a heap to make up.
