re: preliminary results soon montec Actually, it is their "final" results, viz. final result for the year ended 30 June.
To the best of my knowledge a company can if fact release their "results" as soon as they like after the end of the reporting period. In practical terms they would need a few weeks to compile the results and have them checked.
The final date they must report by is not so clear. The ASX did introduce a time limit of 6 weeks, but I understand that for whatever reason they made some exemptions and/or relaxed the timetable a bit. The time limit was 2 months, after which time the ASX would suspend the stock until the results were released to the market.

On a separate note, I wonder it Jiggy's day-carer knows he is running amok with a PC? Lord knows what other sites he gets his kicks from, but one can guess (ROFL)
