3 additional thoughts:

1) When talking about debt financing I was mostly thinking about normal bank loans. On second thought, how about Alkane (after completing the other parts of the financing) putting out bonds at, say, 5% to the general public? Given what you get for most bonds out there, there should be lots of demand ... Could we sell them to the general public under Australian law? Any additional hoops to jump through for that?

2) If Shin Etsu buys up 10% now (be it for 80 mio or 100 mio) - shouldn't they also be on the hook to provide 10% of the financing? I.E. another 80 mio? Of course, they could easily lend us another 100 mio.

3) In fact, if all else fails, they have enough cash on hand to lend us the freaking 800 mio ...
