It has often been for the good of imprisoned people eg
- The Korean War;
- the Berlin Airlift by the Allies in the immediate pots WW II period to stop the Soviet Blockade of West Berlin, whose inhabitants, for decades thereafter, treated its citizens with utter contempt and disdain by building a wall to stop them from leaving (a wall is usually built to stop unwanted from people from barging in), and ruined the lives of many female athletes by deliberate State sponsored drug taking
- the Vietnam War which started with good intentions (to stop the spread of Communism) but poorly thought out, and did not take into consideration the intervention of Communist China on its doorstep;
And many other post WWII conflicts, some of which were well thought out and implemented, and some, especially in South America, not so well considered and implemented. But who would prefer to live in a country, all their lives under the dictatorial boots of Cuba's Castro or Venezuela's Hugo Chavez?
