The selective twist that the health bods put on the covid numbers are perhaps shameful, perhaps misleading and perhaps bordering on saying anything because they don't know what they are doing.

The anti vaxxers out there might fall into several groups. The all out anti-vaxxers, ones that flatly reject any vaccine. The middle of the road ones who might have had a jab of cholera before a holiday in bali a decade ago but now want to wait and see because they are not satisfied with the present covid jabs. The others could be individuals who are on some sort of anti coagulant medication for cardiac issues and are simply fearful. There are others I am sure. Give these people their say. Give them their right. Do not denigrate someone who flatly refuses to get a covid jab because these people have the numbers on their side. All of these anti vaxxers have numbers on their side. Death numbers. They have more chance of dying driving in their motor vehicle. They probably have more chance of getting an injury whilst driving their motor vehicle as compared to potential side effects from the jab.

I am hoping that most people realise that getting a jab will minimise your problems should you get covid. It may even stop you getting covid. But we know that it definately does not stop some getting covid as evidenced by israel now.

There has been a total absence of what treatments people are getting whilst suffering from a moderate or strong bout of covid. Australia has been very lucky being an island but what is happening across the world should be of interest to everyone when we open up. I have just read an interesting piece below. We do no hear much about this aspect of covid. All we get are reiterated daily totals often as the first sentence uttered by a perfectly maniquered headpiece for a news network.

Not so in Indonesia where an enterprising philanthropist, Haryoseno, leapt into action and made ivermectin available to the masses for free or at low cost. As a result, Indonesia has had an extremely low Covid mortality rate. That is until the Ministry of Health decided, in line with the WHO’s recommendation, that ivermectin would only be used in a clinical trial. Haryoseno has been threatened with a fine and a ten-year jail sentence and the supply of ivermectin has dried up. Result? Deaths per million have increased five-fold since withdrawal of ivermectin on 12 June.

In Australia, one of the few doctors brave enough to use the drug to treat patients and save lives, Dr Mark Hobart, was reported to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Thankfully, AHPRA advised that there had been no infringement. Indeed, federal Health Minister Greg Hunt wrote to one of the doctors in Australia who prescribes ivermectin confirming that he was aware that some physicians are prescribing ivermectin off-label for Covid and that they were quite within their rights as the practice of prescribing registered medicines outside of their approved indications is not regulated or controlled by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), it is at the discretion of the prescribing physician. Yet the silence persists. Ivermectin is the drug that dare not speak its name.
