    Premier Daniel Andrews reveals delay in return to parliament

    Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has revealed he would not be back at work until June as he continues his recovery from spinal and rib injuries.

    Mr Andrews said on Twitter he had received the best of care and that his daily walks had increased from 15 minutes to an hour a day.

    The premier slipped and fell at a Mornington Peninsula holiday house in March.He suffered five broken ribs and a compressed vertebra fracture and was treated in the Alfred Hospital.

    The state government in March announced Mr Andrews would take leave for six weeks while he recovered from a serious spinal injury.“My physio is also going well, but it’s clear I won’t be able to return to work before the State Budget in May,” he said.
