CCX got caught in the“bullwhip” effect, in which the pandemic triggered a massive wave of demand, whichCCX thought would last for a while, and, having extrapolated this demand intothe future and not wanting to get caught short/miss out,over-ordered.
The management must admit they got it all wrong and apologise for the lost opportunity cost.
And they must indicate how they plan to use the cash from the sale of excess inventory. How do they plan to grow and create sustainable value?
