I have learnt not to try picking bottoms over the years as you all knows what happens. If everyone is thinking "in the $15's is a bargain" who will they be buying off? The hedge fund shorters were in clover on the rumour and will be buying back in the $15's not selling any more. Investment funds will see great value and nice little portfolio balance against the high alpha stocks and those that will underperform in a risk/AUD sell off, and I hardly think long term holders having wathced the price drop from $25 to $16 will panick now? The divi is worth 65c after franking so $16.64 is effectively buying at $15ish going into Aug. so $16.80 this morning was getting pretty close if you follow my logic.
